Combining the thickness of an air pad with the plush durability of a foam pad, Flyer offers reliable comfort on the trail.

Designed with a groundbreaking manufacturing approach that removes nearly 60% of the foam, the pad self-inflates to increase thickness and provide ridged baffling for faster recovery after a hard day on the mountain. Each horizontal foam channel is hollowed out to both reduce weight and provide progressive suspension that allows you to comfortably sink in; the baffles are linked by solid foam to evenly support and prevent any bottoming out. The latest design update introduces an air baffle around the perimeter, and by removing foam from around the edge, we could then increase the thickness of the “bridge” in between each baffle with no weight penalty. The result is a more comfortable Flyer at the same size and weight as before!

Though Flyer will inflate on its own with no assistance, it now comes packaged in a stuff sack that doubles as a pump sack. This Vortex™ hybrid stuff sack connects to the pad’s Laylow™ valve and can be used to quicken inflation or simply firm up the pad’s surface to your preference and does so without introducing moisture into the pad. (As a bonus, the roll-top sack can be used as a dry bag!)
