SUSTAINABILITY

Adventure Forever™

Climate change is the crisis of our time.

The impact to humanity and all life on earth will be devastating if we don’t take bold action. Here at NEMO, we accept our responsibility to dramatically reduce our carbon footprint and became Climate Neutral Certified in 2022, with the goal of reducing our emissions in half by 2030.

WE'RE HERE TO MAKE ADVENTURE POSSIBLE FOR Anyone. Anywhere. Forever.

People
The Planet

Achieving our mission depends on healthy people and a healthy planet. Adventures will only be possible for everyone if we can create an equitable relationship with the planet for all. We view all of our sustainability efforts through the lens of planet and people.

How We Make an Impact

Design & Innovation

We create products in ways that use fewer resources and produce less waste. We seek to reduce our environmental impact and create long-lasting, easily repairable items.

Responsible Sourcing

We leverage our brand and selling power to reduce impacts across our global value chain.

NEMO is a bluesign® system partner.

Carbon Accountability

We measure our emissions annually, reduce as much as possible, and take financial accountability for any that remain with strategic carbon credit purchases.

NEMO is working with Quantis to establish a carbon footprint baseline and set science-based reduction targets.

Advocacy for People & Planet

We use our brand platform to influence society and politics with the goal of reversing climate change. We promote social justice, diversity, and inclusivity.

Corporate Governance

We assume a moral and fiduciary responsibility to address climate change and social impacts with the financing, strategy, and oversight of the company.

NEMO’s office space is powered by 100% renewable energy.

Designed to Last, Not to Landfill

We take pride in building quality, durable gear that’s ready for years of adventures. But if you’re ready to upgrade to NEMO’s latest and greatest, then we’ll find your gently used gear a new home through our partnership with Trove.
