Time Magazine Best Inventions of 2007 recognized Dr. Dava Newman’s Bio-Suit project at MIT. The Bio-Suit is a formfitting spacesuit concept made of lightweight materials that will offer astronauts much greater mobility than the current EMU spacesuit. Cam Brensinger, president and founder of NEMO, played a significant role in the first several years of this project, while it was funded by the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts. Cam helped to generate many of the concepts behind the design. After starting NEMO in 2002, NEMO went on to create concept renderings and working prototypes for the project.
