Great adventure doesn't always need to be miles from the nearest outpost of civilization. But finding a big tent to pitch at JTree or along the Kanc with all the style, quality, comfort and protection of a high-end backcountry shelter can be a challenge. Asashi™ takes the highly efficient pole configuration from our Losi™ series and expands it into a spacious 4 person design. It's a touring wagon on a sports car chassis. Setup is straightforward thanks to contiguous pole sleeves, ball and socket attachments for the pole ends and an intuitive, symmetrical design. Asashi™ includes four interior pockets, four LightPockets&trade and optional Gear Loft, Pawprint™, Footprint, and extra spacious Garage™ vestibule.

"Taking three kids (ages 4, 6, and 8) and a puppy camping is a rollicking adventure on its own. Add a fast-approaching thunderstorm and a fresh-out-of-the-sack tent, and our executive editor and his wife were facing camp catastrophe. 'We arrived at our site at the same moment as the first lightning-and-thunder salvo,' he said. 'Instead of dressing the kids for rain, we focused on setting up the tent.
