OSMO™ WATERPROOF BREATHABLE

Revised for 2010, NEMO’s improved waterproof/breathable fabric, OSMO™, continues to set the standard for breathability in single wall tents. The new OSMO™ is a 40D ripstop polyester with a hydrophobic microporous PU coating that is highly breathable across a broad range of humidities. The polyester is naturally UV-resistant and doesn’t sag when wet. OSMO™ is highly durable, chemical-resistant, lightweight, and abrasion-resistant.

OSMO OZ™ WATERPROOF BREATHABLE

A major component of our G.R.N.™ product line, NEMO’s OSMO OZ™ w/b has all the same benefits as our traditional OSMO™ w/b, but uses a 50D recycled PET base fabric. OSMO OZ™ doesn’t compromise on waterproofness or breathability, and helps keep plastic out of landfills.

X-PLY^® AIRBEAM FABRIC

The outer fabric layer of NEMO’s airbeams provides the shape, strength, and puncture resistance in a lightweight package. NEMO’s Dimension-Polyant Multi-Laminate X-PLY^® fabric accomplishes all this with incredible dimensional stability and excellent seam holding strength. Orientated X-PLY^® yarns are inserted into high-tenacity polyester for even greater strength. The dimensional stability helps maintain the beam shape and strength given the airbeam’s low operating pressure.

HYPALON

Hypalon^® is a tough and versatile reinforcement fabric able to withstand high temperatures, oxidizing chemicals, extreme weather, and UV. Its low moisture absorption and excellent abrasion resistance make it a natural choice for use in high-wear areas of the tent.

ULTRALIGHT 20D FLY FABRIC

NEMO’s ultralight 20D fabric was made for adventures where every ounce matters. Engineered to yield the perfect balance of tear strength, waterproofness, abrasion resistance, and weight, this 20D high tenacity PU-coated nylon ripstop is one of the most advanced textiles available on the market.

30D FLY FABRIC

NEMO’s 30D fly fabric is lightweight without compromising on performance and durability. The nylon ripstop fabric is coated with a non-hydrolyzing PU to 1,500 mm hydrostatic resistance for waterproofness. The exterior of the fabric is treated with a super-DWR to help shed water droplets and prevent wetting out the base fabric.

70D FLOOR FABRIC

Durable floors can increase the lifespan of tents used in rugged expeditions and extended base camps. NEMO’s 70D nylon taffeta floor is no exception with excellent abrasion resistance, tear strength, and durability. The fabric is coated for waterproofness with a non-hydrolyzing PU to 5,000/10,000 mm hydrostatic resistance. The exterior of the fabric is treated with a super-DWR to help shed water droplets and prevent wetting out the base fabric.

NO-SEE-UM MESH

NEMO’s no-see-um mesh is new and improved for 2010. The optimized knit pattern reduces weight and increases airflow, resulting in better breathability. This special no-see-um mesh is 30% lighter than other standard no-see-um meshes on the market.

SEAM TAPE

NEMO tents use genuine Bemis seam tape that is optimized for longevity and compatibility for all NEMO fabrics. The thermoplastic film provides a uniform waterproof barrier when applied over stitching on the inside of the tent.
