NEMO is a strange place. A job at NEMO is probably different from any job you've ever had. It's probably a lot like the job you've always wished you could have.
Remember the feeling of camaraderie that comes with sharing an epic adventure with your best friends? Have you ever turned to a friend while walking in steps you were quite sure had never been taken and remarked that there was absolutely nowhere you would rather be -- nothing you would rather be doing? That's the feeling of working at NEMO.
Like any adventure worth telling stories about, it isn't always easy. The NEMO team is a small group traveling unsupported over new ground, driven by talent, passion and ambition, depending on each other, making bold moves and taking big risks. For the right person, it's about the most fun you'll ever be paid to have. It's not really like a job at all.
NEMO eagerly accepts applications for all open positions. Please see the positions listed below. If we don't have the opening you are looking for but your heart is in the outdoor industry, we also recommend checking the Outdoor Industry Association classifieds.
NEMO is looking for a new addition to its small, close-knit team. The company is looking for an ambitious and talented student to join the team for a summer of intense work, learning and fun. The right person will have a broad range of skills, with an eye for styling and problem solving. A great personality and a sharp mind are a must. A good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with your hands is essential too. You will receive plenty of professional guidance, but you should also be prepared to work independently and have responsibility. You'll need to keep things organized, manage projects effectively and be diligent and meticulous in your work. This will be a challenging and rewarding summer and should be a valuable component in your education as well as a great opportunity to make an entrance into the outdoor sporting goods industry.
Everyone at NEMO is intensely passionate about design, the outdoors and adventure. If you want to hide in a cubicle or need to leave work behind at 5pm, you probably won`t like it here. NEMO`s office is an open and lively place, with funky music, custom furniture and lots of colors and gear strewn everywhere. We`re about 1 hour from surfing, 5 minutes from great mountain biking, 1.5 hours from the White Mountains, an hour from skiing and 45 minutes from downtown Boston. There`s rock climbing in every direction and some of the best ice climbing in North America a couple hours north. The right person will love this job! Bring your rock shoes, skateboard and sketch book. Compensation will be $10/hr.

NEMO is looking for a sharp, analytical mind to join the team and tackle sales and marketing data analysis, web analytics, forecasting, market research, accounting, financial modeling and general number crunching. The company seeks a talented, experienced, highly motivated, super organized, pencil-pushing, taped-glasses sales geek with a fun-loving personality and passion for hard work and outdoor adventure. Few positions in the industry likely offer the same blend of intellectual challenge, diversity of work, responsibility, close collaboration and opportunity for growth. NEMO is going places fast and this might be the last year to get in on the ground floor and be a plank holder in this remarkable young company.
NEMO's sales have been growing at a rapid rate since it was founded in 2002. With hundreds of domestic retailers, international distributors and a strong military business, there is a need to have a new director to work alongside the Director of Sales, with a focus on forecasting and strategy. This is to some degree a unique and unconventional position: a blend of CFO, sales director and marketing strategist. The company envisions the perfect candidate being a science or math major with first rate problem solving ability, the creativity to devise unique and effective grass roots strategies and a deep and sincere passion for outdoor adventure.
