Cam Brensinger
Cam Brensinger
Founder & President
Cam is both an industrial designer and a passionate outdoor enthusiast. He studied physics, studio art and writing at Middlebury College and industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he graduated with distinction, receiving the Thomas Lamb Scholarship Award. Prior to founding NEMO, Cam worked with a team at MIT funded by the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts to design spacesuits for human exploration of Mars. When he was a student at RISD, Cam served a summer internship at Black Diamond Equipment, Ltd., where he helped design the company's first generation of headlamps. Cam has spent a lot of time in the outdoors, and some of his experiences include: co-leading a successful team on Denali, leading a group to the bottom of 1168' foot deep Neff's Canyon Cave, doing a canyoneering first descent in Zion, 5.12 sport climbing in Red Rocks, and ice climbing The Weeping Wall and The Black Dike. His favorite sports these days are rock and mixed climbing and trials biking.

Caryl has a Masters in nursing from Boston University. She practiced nursing in the Boston area, and went on to teach nursing and medicine at the college level. When her two children reached high school age, she shifted her career to become a trustee of an independent school and also to serve as a commissioner on the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation Board. Caryl and her husband Barry, an architect, are both race car drivers. Caryl is a nationally certified high-performance driving instructor and races a Porsche 993 RS Club Sport in about a dozen events around the country every year. She has always loved the outdoors, especially skiing, hiking and playing tennis.
Suzanne Turell
Suzanne Turell
Director of Product Design
Suzanne found her way to design and NEMO on a twisting trail. Her love for the outdoors can probably be traced back to her first camping trip at the ripe old age of four months. Between receiving her civil engineering and architecture degrees from Princeton University and earning her Masters of Industrial Design degree at Rhode Island School of Design, she hiked the entire Appalachian Trail, reaffirming her obsession with gear and good design. When not designing and prototyping NEMO’s next big thing, she enjoys climbing, hiking, cycling, snowboarding and surfing around New England.
Connie Yang
Connie Yang
Director of Engineering
Connie has been a sports enthusiast her whole life and enjoys activities ranging from running to climbing to snowboarding. While studying mechanical engineering and physics at MIT as an undergrad, she played on both the women's soccer and basketball teams. In the past few years, she has enjoyed exploring New England surf breaks up and down the coast. Connie joined the NEMO team after receiving her PhD at Loughborough University in the UK. She has interned at Nike, developing and testing cushioning technology for footwear, and had stints at design firms including Altitude Inc. in Somerville, MA, Progressive Sports Technologies in Loughborough, UK and MIT's Center for Sports Innovation.
Tom Reynolds
Tom Reynolds
Director of Operations
Tom's enthusiasm for adventure and outdoor activities started in the pool. He's been swimming competitively since grade school and has gone on to win multiple conference titles as well as compete in the U.S. Open as a student at the University of New Hampshire. Tom currently holds two school records at UNH and after a five year hiatus from the sport has recently gotten back in the pool with the BC masters program. Combining his love of the water and being outside, Tom developed a new passion with surfing. He's traveled from Santa Cruz to the Cape in search of the best waves possible. And when the water freezes over, Tom can be found on the ski slopes anywhere from Alpine Meadows to Sunday River. Tom graduated Cum Laude from UNH with a double major in communications and political science. Before starting with NEMO, he spent 5 years working in the publishing industry as a project manager. Tom is our Director of Operations.
Steve Lemaire
Steve Lemaire
Assistant Operations Manager
The product of a southern New Hampshire town, Steve grew to love the outdoors around the beginning of his second decade. He spent a lot of time outside starting in the summer of 2004, painting houses, kayaking, and hiking. The following year Steve moved to Portland, Oregon. During two plus years in the Beaver State, he learned how to boulder and sought out options for living closer to the natural world. His energies continue concentrating on the latter, with gardening being a slow-to-develop yet promising practice. Overall, Steve loves spending time outside, taking in his surroundings and appreciating its presence.
Kate Ketschek
Kate Ketschek
Director of Marketing & Public Relations
Kate's background in marketing and love of the outdoors has led her to the NEMO family. Whether it was skiing or hiking in the Adirondacks near her home, learning to rock and ice climb in the White's during college, or skiing in the Northern Rockies of Montana, Kate has always pursued the mountains. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Plymouth State College while skiing for their Alpine Team. Most recently, Kate's paid job was marketing manager at Big Sky Resort in Montana, but she took her volunteer efforts as an EMT/Firefighter, president of the Chamber of Commerce and chair of a group investigating incorporating the community of Big Sky, just as seriously. When Kate's not at NEMO, she can be found out on her bike, skis, or trail running with her husband and two dogs.
Bill Kramer
Bill Kramer
Art Director
Bill has embraced art and the outdoors since he was able to hold a pencil. This passion began during hikes with his grandfather. Today, Bill spends countless hours hiking and biking to places where he can observe and photograph local wildlife. These treks into the woods are an invaluable resource for painting inspiration as well as learning about the habits of wild animals. Traditionally trained in fine art, Bill received a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Fine Art from Keene State College. From 1998-2008, Bill worked as a graphic artist for Cannondale Bicycle Corporation honing his skills on graphical treatments to bikes and print media. Bill brings an array of skills to support the NEMO team from T-shirts to catalogs, hangtags to photography. The challenges are non-stop and always pushing him to grow as an artist.
Nate Phipps
Nate Phipps
Senior Designer
Nate began at NEMO after clicking the wrong link on the company website (perhaps the same reason you're reading this) and discovering an internship opportunity. Since then he has assisted in developing new products at NEMO, and also sweeping. Nate received at BA in industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010. Nate's awe of the natural world began at Miss Betty's Play School in Charlestown, PA at the age of 2 and continued in the Boy Scouts, where he earned the rank of Eagle in 2006. Today Nate is more excited than ever to get outside. Nate can be found surfing (or trying to) in the NE from LBI to 2nd Beach to Long Sands. He also loves backpacking, skiing, cycling and pulling down the occasional V1 at the gym.
Nicole Chretien
Nicole Chretien
Customer Relations
After living in Colorado for a couple years and attending Sterling College in northern Vermont, Nicole is happy to return to her home town of Nashua, NH to join NEMO. She has previously worked for Mavic and Atomic, specializing in marketing, customer service and sales. As part of joining NEMO she's excited to be engaged in every aspect of the business, and to be part of a small company made up of great people. Besides being able to raise her daughter near her extended family, an added bonus of working at NEMO is that the headquarters are footsteps away from the trails she grew up mountain biking and running on. An avid biker (mountain, road, cyclocross) and runner, Nicole rarely goes a day without hitting the trails.
Ryan Mateyko
Ryan Mateyko
Director of Sales Strategy
Ryan has been exploring the outdoors since his early days growing up in Maine. Ready to venture beyond his great home state, he made the move to Massachusetts, where he completed both an undergraduate and graduate degree in finance at Bentley University. After spending some time in the private equity world, Ryan joined NEMO with a fresh outlook, eager to apply his skills to an industry he's been passionate about his entire life. While Ryan enjoys a myriad of outdoor and fitness activities, ranging from winter hiking to AcroYoga, his number one passion is rock climbing. When Ryan's not neck-deep in the numbers, he's usually found pulling down at one of the favorite New England crags between Rumney and Lincoln Woods.
Bridget Alexander
Bridget Alexander
Graphic Designer
After earning a BA in fine art at Colgate University in snowy central New York, Bridget moved back to her native Massachusetts and completed the Graphic Design Certificate Program at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She loves exploring the outdoors, including hiking, backpacking, skiing, and the occasional impromptu swim in an ocean or alpine lake. As a camping enthusiast, she set out on a honeymoon road trip around the American West to tour the great National Parks. At home, Bridget can be found on her yoga mat or hanging out with her husband and cat.
Katrina Smith
Katrina Smith
Customer Service Manager
Katrina's love for the outdoors was honed while at college in Downeast Maine studying Human Ecology, the relationships that people share with their environment. Her studies led her to life on remote islands off the coast of Maine and Washington, travels to Central America, and a whitewater canoeing tour of the East Coast. She continues to explore the outdoor world via climbing, mountaineering, skiing, and mountain biking. Katrina found a home at NEMO after working in her family business and in customer relations in the outdoor retail industry. When not at NEMO, you can find her on the trails with her husband and two huskies.
